
A man from Texas was sentenced yesterday for a crash in North Belle Vernon.
The Tribune-Review reports that 27-year old truck driver Nathaniel Smyth pleaded guilty to misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment and causing property damage in a crash in November of last year. He had lost control of the truck he was driving when it hit a utility pole that fell on a house and caused a fire that damaged the residence.
No one was hurt. Smyth with found by police near the Donegal ramp of the PA Turnpike.
Smyth was ordered to serve a minimum of 10 days in jail, but was given credit for time served and was immediately paroled.
