Ligonier Township officials have made an offer to purchase the shuttered Ligonier Beach property.
The Tribune-Review reports that supervisors unanimously voted to make an offer to Sherry and Steven Kozar to buy the private pool and restaurant off Route 30. The pool operated for 90 years before not opening at all last year due to flooding damage to their pumps and restaurant furnace. The Kozars filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy soon after.
It’s not known at this time what the township would do with the property, whether they would keep it as a historic site or open the pool again, or do something else.
