A landslide in the Irwin area will be fixed very soon.
The Tribune-Review reports that at the last Irwin Borough Council meeting, Irwin Borough engineer Lucien Bove said that the crack on Caruthers Lane needs to be repaired before the road sustains more damage. He said that the crack could cause an emergency situation if the crack goes to the middle of the street. The crack is so deep, it can’t be repaired by just some cold patch or asphalt across the top of the crack.
Bove was given permission to advertise for bids to repair the landslide. An estimate for repairing the road was not given.
