A woman was arrested for trying to sell counterfeit game cards to a Greensburg hobby store.
The Tribune-Review reports that last Friday, the Pop! Culture store in Greensburg was approached by 21-year-old Jillian Yohe of Finleyville who wanted to sell them a rare card for the game “Magic: The Gathering”. Store owner Jeremy Fairgrieve paid out $1000 for the card, but later on, found out the card was counterfeit.
The next day, as he was at the Greensburg Police Station filing the report, Yohe called saying she wanted to sell another rare card for $2,500. Police were able to set up a sting and they arrested her. Yohe said she formed a plan with a friend to sell fake “Magic: The Gathering” cards and sell them for a profit.
She is charged with deception, theft, forgery, and simulating objects of rarity or antiquity.
