A senior at the Norwin High School is fighting a dress code policy that is a part of the district’s graduation.
KDKA-TV reports that 18-year-old Hannah Kozak received a letter dictating that girls were not allowed to wear pants during commencement, and if they did, they would not be allowed to participate, and would receive their diploma the following week.
Kozak, who will major in Political Science at Chatham University, brought it up with the school board, and after a meeting with the principal, the outcome was that she would be allowed to wear slacks, but no one else. Kozak said she will continue to work with the principal to open it up to everyone else.
