Norwin school officials have backed down on a long-standing graduation dress code for girls.
As we reported yesterday, senior Heather Kozak made a request to the school board to wear pants to graduation ceremonies. The dress code prohibited women from wearing slacks. On Thursday, school officials reversed their course on the commencement dress code, allowing everyone to wear slacks.
It does ban jeans, sneakers, athletic clothing, sandals, sunglasses or non-school issued items on the cap and gown.
