
A man from Herminie was sentenced to serve two years of probation for abandoning a dog.
The Tribune-Review reports that 29-year-old Shannon Proctor was also ordered to pay over $6000 in restitution to Pet Friends in Irwin. The sentence is for a guilty plea to cruelty and neglect of animals in connection with a dog found January 1st on a rural Sewickley Township road. The dog was in bad shape, including dehydration and it had tremors and fleas.
Proctor is not allowed to have any pets while on probation.
