A Pittsburgh man is accused of beating a New Stanton woman that she befriended on Facebook and stealing her laptop and notebook.
The Tribune-Review reports that 45-year-old Brian Wilkinson of the Greenfield section of Pittsburgh was arrested yesterday in connection with the incident on March 25th. Troopers were called out to the victim’s apartment two days after the assault and found her with numerous bruises. She had met Wilkinson on Facebook and gave him a place to stay after he showed up at her apartment. Two days later, he began to assault her, then grabbed his belongings, the laptop and the notebook and ran off, threatening to “finish the job” if she went to the police.
Wilkinson faces numerous charges, including aggravated assault, terroristic threats and others. He is now in county prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.
