As Greensburg officials were filing charges against a Beverly Hills-based company over broken elevators at the Pershing Square Apartments, word came in that those elevators are operational once again.
The Tribune-Review reports that word came in from a text message to city planning director Barbara Ciampini that as of 3:00 PM Wednesday the elevators were fixed.
The elevators frequently broke down, leaving some trapped in the elevators. Officials were ready to start a criminal case against I Choose Not To Run, LLC, but they will now wait and see if the elevators break down again. If there’s no breakdowns by the court hearing date, the city will dismiss charges, but if the fire department has to rescue someone in the elevators, they will hold the hearing.
