North Huntingdon Township is joining forces with Carnegie Mellon University for a study to help improve traffic flow on Route 30 in the township.
The Tribune-Review reports that PennDOT is planning major safety improvements from Irwin to North Versailles, and as that happens, two research institutes from CMU will help determine ways to alleviate congestion while keeping things safe and anticipating future travel demands.
The two groups helping with the study will be CMU’s Mobility Analyitics Center and Traffic 21.
