Police arrested a Sewickley Township man on charges of raping a mentally-challenged woman.
State troopers say that 74-year-old Wayne Edison Smith gave the 20-year-old victim wine at his home in Herminie on four different occasions and forced her to have sex with him, even after she refused his advances multiple times. Smith would admit this to investigators.
Smith is now in jail in lieu of $200,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is set for December 10th.
