Greensburg senior citizens are being asked to be wary of any robocalls telling them that their Social Security number has been suspended.
The Tribune-Review reports that the calls allegedly give the victim that notification and instructs them to call a phone number in Houston, Texas to get it fixed. Authorities say that the calls are a hoax to try to get your Social Security number, as the Social Security Administration does not make cold robocalls, and returning one of these calls could result in losing personal information or money or both.
