A Blairsville man is now charged in connection with an investigation into a theft after law enforcement officers from West Virginia asked for some help. State police say 55-year-old Robert Stutzman was taken into custody on Monday and charged with receiving stolen property and conspiracy to that charge. Police in West Virginia say the victim told them that he was scammed out of over $40,000 after sending a cashier’s check to Robert Stutzman at the Indiana CVS pharmacy. Police identified Stutzman through surveillance footage from CVS and also discovered that he was asked to deposit the check into his own account at Huntingdon Bank in New Kensington on the direction of someone he met online. A preliminary hearing for Stutzman is set for April 2nd. He is in jail in Indiana County on $200,000 cash bail.
