A Westmoreland County Judge is considering recusing himself in the case of a man accused of lying about how his patrol vehicle was damaged while working as an Arnold police officer. The Trib reports that Judge Scott Mears asked attorney Marc Daffner to file a formal motion seeking his removal from the case against 33-year-old Ryan Clark after Daffner argued in court that Mears previously found Clarkâs testimony as a policeman during a suppression hearing in an unrelated criminal case to be not credible. County detectives arrested Clark after he claimed his patrol SUV was damaged in a hit-and-run accident in June of 2022 at the parking lot of a 7-Eleven on Freeport Road but surveillance footage showed no such collision.
