More than a quarter-of-a-million dollars in donations has been collected for survivors of a Jeannette fire that left five people dead. Last Wednesday, five members of the King family, including four young children, were killed when a fire tore through their Guy Street home. The family’s mother and two children survived the blaze whose cause has yet to be determined. Through a GoFundMe page, an American Legion event and various other efforts, more than 250-thousand dollars has been raised to benefit the fire’s survivors. The fire remains under investigation.
