A Monessen teenager entered guilty pleas in connection with the death of a 16-year-old classmate. The Trib reports that 17-year-old Terry Newton pleaded guilty yesterday in court to a charge of voluntary manslaughter in the case of Amari Altomore in November of 2022. He was scheduled to go on trial May 6th for the shooting. In addition to the manslaughter offense, Newton also pleaded guilty to the illegal possession of a firearm. He will be sentenced in three months and faces up to 20 years in prison.
