Westmoreland County Prosecutors say they will no longer pursue sexual assault charges against a former aide at a North Huntingdon nursing home. The Trib reports that in March, 36-year-old Daniel Odu of New Kensington was found not guilty of attempted rape of a 19-year-old co-worker at the Grove in Irwin in 2022, but the jury could not reach a verdict on the four other counts, including two counts each of aggravated assault and indecent assault. The judge declared a mistrial in the case. Assistant DA Krista Koontz said during a pre-trial hearing yesterday that the victim does not wish to move forward and testify in the case, so they are dropping the case.
