North Huntingdon officials will start the process to create new rules for keeping chickens in the backyard. The Trib reports that Township commissioners voted last week to repeal an ordinance that allowed chickens to be kept in residential neighborhoods. Harry Faulk and his staff were directed to draft an ordinance for review at a workshop meeting on May 9th. The issue came up after some who were denied permission through the original process challenged a vote to reject his request, while another was cited several times for violations of the ordinance.
