A fire damaged two vacant buildings early Sunday morning in Monessen. Reports say that the fire crews were dispatched at 3:30 AM to Rostraver Street. Monessen firefighters were assisted by neighboring fire companies in bringing the fire under control. One of the two buildings was destroyed by the fire. The cause remains unknown, but fire officials say that it may be suspicious in nature.
