OHIO MAN IN CUSTODY FOR ALLEGEDLY STALKING LOCAL MUSICIAN

An Ohio man is in custody in Westmoreland County for allegedly stalking a musician who lives in Murrysville.  Police arrested 42-year-old Anthony Carpenter yesterday after he showed up at the residence around 7:30 a.m., ringing the doorbell and walking around the house.  A man at the property told police Carpenter is “an obsessed fan” of a woman who lives there, and he has sent letters and emails saying he is in love with her and he does not plan to stop coming to the home.  Authorities say Carpenter was arrested on defiant trespass charges about a month ago over a similar incident.
