NEW VA OUTPATIENT FACILITY PLANNED FOR WESTMORELAND COUNTY

Planning for a new outpatient medical care facility for veterans in Westmoreland County has won approval.  The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs announced Thursday that plans for a new 33-thousand-square-foot facility are underway.  The new treatment center with a location that has yet to be determined, is expected to replace a 14-thousand-square-foot clinic that opened in Hempfield back in 2007.  The new clinic is expected to open in 2026.
