Several fire crews were called out this morning to a house fire in Youngwood. WTAE-TV reports that the fire was reported shortly after 4:00 this morning at a home on Silvis Road. It was initially reported that there were people trapped in the house that was divided into individual apartments, but everyone was able to get out safely. Neighbors reported loud popping noises coming from the garage, and helped rescue some neighbors on the second floor. One person was sent to a Pittsburgh-area hospital for treatment of burns, but is expected to be OK. State Police fire marshals are investigating and the American Red Cross is helping those displaced.
