AREA OFFICIALS REACT TO TRUMP VERDICT

Area officials are reacting to the guilty verdict handed down yesterday in former President Donald Trump’s hush money trial.  GOP Congressman Guy Reschenthaler posted on social media and referred to Trump’s conviction as an example of the “weaponization of the legal system by Joe Biden”. Trump has been convicted of producing false records to hide payments made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels.  Attorneys for Trump will likely be filing a motion to request that yesterday’s verdict be thrown out.  If that request is denied, they will likely pursue appeals.
