Ligonier Township officials are expected to hire a consultant to put together a plan for the future of Ligonier Beach. The Trib reports that the township plans to spend $100,000 for the study of the property and swimming pool that the Township purchased for $230,000 after the resort closed in 2018. Out of the bids for the consulting job that were opened this week, the apparent low bid was from Aquatic Facility Design at a cost of $89,000. Public input will be a required part of the study. The document is expected to be ready by late next year.
