NORWIN SCHOOL BOARD APPROVES TAX INCREASE

The Norwin school board on Monday approved the 2024-25 school year budget, and it includes a tax increase.  The Trib reports that the board voted 5-4 to approve the budget.  Taxes will increase by 6.8%, meaning the average property owner will pay an additional $132 a year in taxes.  The district will also use nearly $5 million in its reserve to cover the funding gap.
