A former member of the Franklin-Regional school board has been named to fill a vacancy on the board. The Trib reports that the board voted 5-3 to appoint Deb Wohlin to take the place of Herb Yingling, who resigned last month due to health-related issues. The board also approved the 2024-25 district budget which comes to $68.9 million but includes a 3.5 mil property tax hike.
