A Blairsville man is charged with leading Ligonier Valley police on a chase and crashing into one of their cruisers. The Trib reports that 28-year-old Travis Repinski was seen by police stealing diesel fuel from PennDOT vehicles along McCurdy Trail in Ligonier Township. Police saw him leaving the area and attempted to stop it, but he lead police on a chase that went onto Route 259 and he crashed with a police cruiser. Repinksi tried to flee on foot after the collision but was apprehended. He also tried to escape custody after he was taken to a local hospital. Repinski is in Westmoreland County Jail and a preliminary hearing was set on June 28th.
