JEANNETTE WOMAN CHARGED WITH AGGRAVATED ASSAULT BY VEHICLE

A Jeannette woman was charged with hitting another woman with her SUV.  The Trib reports that 23-year-old Jenna Ann Pippins was charged with aggravated assault by vehicle, reckless endangerment and other crimes related to the incident last Sunday.  The victim, who had been in a prior relationship with Pippins, said she was followed by the suspect until a confrontation on Guy Street around 4:30 AM.  Pippins drove off in her Subaru Outback, running over the woman, according to authorities.  Pippins is now in Westmoreland County Jail on $50,000 bail and a preliminary hearing is set for June 27th.
