DELMONT WOMAN DENIES ALLEGATIONS THAT SHE FATALLY INJURED ADOPTED SON

A Delmont woman charged in the death of her 5-year-old adopted son has denied allegations that she fatally injured the child.  The Trib reports that the attorney for Lauren Maloberti claims that the prosecution’s accusations are based on false assumptions.  She is charged with first-degree murder, aggravated assault and other crimes connected with the February 7th, 2023 death of her son, Landon, whom she adopted in 2019.  Prosecutors say that she and her husband Jacob physically and emotionally abused the child and failed to get proper medical attention for his injuries.
