Local leaders in Arnold are trying to find a way to curb vandalism at Roosevelt Park. The property was closed after a group of teens dumped out garbage cans and caused damage to the amphitheater and pavilion. Mayor Shannon Santucci has asked community members to volunteer to monitor the park, but no one seems motivated to get involved. Councilman Aaron Moore says a paid park monitor quit after being punched in the face. For now, the space is open from dawn until dusk, Wednesday through Sunday. City police officers are planning to walk through the park when they can.
