The overseer of the county Register of Wills office says that they may be through all the surprises connected with trying to get the office caught up with monthly reports and other work. The Trib reports that attorney Jim Antoniono and the crew at the office have been evaluating stacks of files reportedly found in the chief deputy’s office. That continues as an office retiree has returned to the job and is helping train staff members. Former chief deputy Rona Beluschok defended her work and said the adoption filings were not the responsibility of the chief deputy. She declined to elaborate and said she’s looking into legal options.
