Ligonier Valley school district is getting ready to make upgrades to its baseball field. The Trib reports that plans for the field include rotating it by 90 degrees. The move is meant to alleviate a slope at the site and improve drainage while limiting the amount of earth-moving involved in the project. Other updated features will include bleachers, a bathroom, the scoreboard, bullpens and indoor batting cages. The field now has just one bullpen and one outdoor batting cage. Construction is expected to start in September and the field should be ready by next spring.
