CATALYTIC CONVERTER THEFTS ON TOWNE SQUARE DRIVE

Catalytic converter thefts have been reported in Hempfield Township.  WTAE-TV reports that three such thefts happened between July 1st and 2nd from three cars close to each other on Towne Square Drive.  One of the victims was a 76-year-old woman with the other being the Boulevard Restaurant.  Thieves go after these parts for the precious metals inside them, with the value of the thefts around $4100.  Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.
