DELMONT AWARDS CONTRACT FOR SEWAGE WORK

Delmont officials awarded a contract for sewage work on Tuesday.  The Trib reports that the work will include the installation of an interceptor on Christy Road and relocate a force main on a property in Salem Township.  The lines have required multiple repairs over the years, and stormwater runoff has eroded portions of the stream, exposing several sections of line.  This is a major step in addressing a state consent order meant to curtail sewage overflows.
