Discussion will continue between two business partners and North Huntingdon officials on a lease for a proposed $30 million sports complex. The Trib reports that the complex would be on township-owned property off of Route 30. At a work session last night, David Ponsonby and Joshua Zugai discussed the lease with the township commissioners, who were concerned over the length of the lease, the benefit to residents and its complexity. Five outdoor fields and a multi-purpose indoor facility would be built over the next six years at the 42-acre parcel. NHT Investment Partners plans to sublease part of the 42-acre parcel to the Pittsburgh Riverhounds, and the team will develop that part of the site for its fields. No word on when a final vote on the lease will come.
