NEW KEN MAN FACES ASSAULT CHARGES

A New Kensington man faces charges of assaulting two women.  The Trib reports that charges were filed against Samuel Brown for an incident around 10:30 PM on Saturday.  He allegedly hit one woman with a flashlight and threatened the other victim at knifepoint.  In addition to two counts of felony aggravated assault, police charged Brown with felony strangulation and misdemeanor offenses of simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment.
