LOCAL CHURCH PLANS TO REOPEN MONROEVILLE CONVENTION CENTER HOTEL

A local church is involved in a plan to reopen the shuttered hotel that served the Monroeville Convention Center.  Pastor Bruce Schafer with Grace Life Church says they are working with investors who are planning to put the property back in business and also lease them a section of the building for their services.  Schafer says the business partners are looking to find a different hotel brand to partner with as they bring back the restaurant in the building and get the event space and sleeping rooms up and running again.  The hotel could be operational by October, according to the pastor.
