REGISTER OF WILLS OFFICE TO IMPLEMENT CREDIT CARD PAYMENT FEES

The Westmoreland County Register of Wills office will implement fees for those who makes a payment with a credit card.  The Trib reports that the fees will apply for those filing wills, estate documents, apply for marriage licenses and requesting copies of documents in the office.  The office has been taking the costs on and it’s cost the office about $11,000 a year.  Customers will be charged a $1 minimum to use the credit card and a service fee of up to 2.8% of the total payment.  The fees will be implemented on June 1st.
