LATROBE AMTRAK STATION RENOVATION TO BEGIN

Officials in Latrobe are excited that renovations to the city’s Amtrak station will finally begin.  An exact start date hasn’t been announced, but an Amtrak spokesperson says the project is expected to be completed by summertime 2026.  Numerous renovations are planned, including upgrades to passenger areas and the parking lot, as well as upgrades to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.  Jarod Trunzo, executive director of the Latrobe Community Revitalization Program, said the renovations will turn “one of the most run-down stations” into “one of the nicest in the commonwealth.”
