A man who is accused of robbing a Monroeville Burger King last year is now facing federal charges. U.S. prosecutors say 31-year-old Yamin Harris has been charged under the Hobbs Act. The federal law applies to extortion or robbery that interferes with interstate or foreign commerce. Harris could be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison if convicted. He was initially charged by local prosecutors after allegedly threatening Burger King employees with a gun and shocking them with a cattle prod before leaving the restaurant with over one-thousand dollars.
