ARSON SUSPECT BEING RELOCATED TO PRISON WITH PSYCHIATRIC FACILITY

The suspect in the arson at the Pennsylvania Governor’s Residence is being relocated to a prison with a psychiatric facility.  Officials said Cody Balmer was moved Thursday to SCI Waymart, a facility that provides “intensive psychiatric care and treatment” for inmates.  Balmer’s mother had previously said her son was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia but stopped taking his medication.  The mother of Balmer’s children told WHP-TV he had been a great father, but his mental health went downhill over the past five years.
