MEDICAL DIRECTOR OF MUTUAL AID AMBULANCE SERVICE HONORED

The medical director of Mutual Aid Ambulance service was recently honored with an award for his work to the Pennsylvania EMS system.  The Trib reports that Dr. William Jenkins was surprised by the honor at Independence Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg.  Jenkins also serves as the head of the emergency medicine department at Independence Frick Hospital.  The Dr. George Moerkirk Memorial Contribution to EMS award is presented by the PA Emergency Health Services Council in partnership with the state department of health and its Bureau of Emergency Services.
