A Westmoreland County Judge ruled that threats made by a New Florence woman to kill her mother will be admitted at trial as evidence. The Trib reports that the alleged death threats made by Melissa Fox-Beacom to her mother were overheard by investigators. Police say that she followed through on the threats when she along with Matthew Bates of Ligonier Township and Robert Jack of Washington, both now 19, took part in the fatal shooting of 71-year-old Alice Robson in December of 2023. A trial date for the three has not been set yet. A hearing will be held in July to determine when a trial for one or all of the defendants can start.
