MOTORCYCLIST KILLED IN LATROBE

A motorcyclist was killed Thursday afternoon after colliding with a car near Latrobe .  The Trib reports that 49-year-old Jared Boyle of Derry Borough was pronounced dead at the scene by Westmoreland County Coroner Tim Carson.  Boyle was riding south on Route 982 when he collided with a northbound Ford Mustang that was turning left onto Lincoln Avenue.  Boyle was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.  A ruling on the cause and manner of death are pending the results of an autopsy.
