GREENSBURG MAN ACCUSED OF SIMPLE ASSAULT, CHILD ENDANGERMENT, AND PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS

A Greensburg man is accused of throwing a brick at a child last Thursday.  The Trib reports that 44-year-old Donald Meghan, Jr. is charged with aggravated and simple assault, child endangerment and public drunkenness.  A witness reported to police that he saw the man, later identified as Meghan throw a brick at the boy in the back yard of a home on Brown Avenue, missing the boy.  The man claimed he was throwing a snowball at the boy, but there was no snow on the ground and the temperature was 58 degrees.  He remains in Westmoreland County Jail on $75,000 bail, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for February 1^st.
