NORTH HUNTINGDON MAN FACES MULTIPLE CHARGES

A North Huntingdon man faces charges of criminal solicitation, child pornography and other crimes connected with an incident in January. The Trib reports that 21-year-old Michael McFarland is accused of instructing a seven year old girl to take an inappropriate photo of herself on his cell phone while they were at a bible study class. Police say they are trying to identify several other photos found on his cellphone. McFarland is free on $25,000 bail, with a preliminary hearing due on May 29th.
