BURRELL AND FREEPORT TO HOST SPRINGDALE HOME GAMES

Burrell School District will help Springdale’s High School Football Team out by hosting a few of their home games.  The Trib reports that the district will split that duty with Freeport, as each district will host Springdale for two consecutive “home” games. The games at Burrell are slated for Oct. 4 and 11. Dates have not been announced for the games at Freeport, but they are expected to be the weekends of Aug. 30-31and Sept. 13-14.  Springdale had been playing its games at Veterans Memorial Field, but that agreement ends this school year and District officials point to a leaning wall behind the visitors’ bleachers as a point of concern; it was blocked off to spectators this past season.
