NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CONFIRMS TORNADO TOUCHDOWN IN LATROBE

The national weather  service has confirmed that a tornado briefly touched down in Latrobe earlier this week.  The Trib reports that an EF0 tornado touched down in the McChesneytown and Loyalhanna areas of Latrobe Wednesday afternoon.  This marked the 16th such storm to be recorded in the Pittsburgh Region. Witnesses said that the storm touched down around 6:20 PM, and while it did do some damage, it was a weaker storm, and its presence was very brief and weak.
