REDUCED BOND FOR GREENSBURG MAN DENIED

A request for a reduced bond for a Greensburg man charged in connection with a hit-and-run crash in December was denied.  The Trib reports 44-year-old Christopher Denegan tried to have the $100,000 bond reduced so he could be released from Westmoreland County Prison. Defense attorneys claimed that Denegan believed that he hit a pothole, and that is why he fled the scene after colliding with a 76-year-old woman. District Judge Chris Flanigan said that appropriate guidelines were followed and bail would not be reduced.
