The City of Pittsburgh is paying tribute to a city worker who tackled a gunman who was taking aim at a pastor at a church in North Braddock. The heroics happened last month at the Jesus’ Dwelling Place Church in North Braddock. A livestream video captured the moments when a suspect stepped up in front of Pastor Glenn Germany and tried to shoot him. That is when church deacon Clarence McCallister, who also works for the City Department of Public Works, took down the gunman. Local officials this week have honored McCallister with a proclamation acknowledging his actions.
